Who are my band and how to find me live I’m beyond lucky that I get to work with some of the most talented and inventive musicians that together with I get to tour the world, write music, create soundtracks and most of do lots of looking after one another.

I’m beyond lucky that I get to work with some of the most talented and inventive musicians that together with I get to tour the world, write music, create soundtracks and most of do lots of looking after one another. They are a fine bunch all with extraordinary other careers and expressions of their musical talents but together they collectively create the Sam Lee sound that has defined my musical life and a new approach to British folk song in our inimitable way. See more about them below

I occasionally can be found in other formations and ensembles from the smaller outfits made up from the musicians above but also in other ways too. These days, more than ever, I am fond of striking out solo and doing it the old way, one singer, one song and sharing my repertoire of collected songs and the stories surrounding my journeys on the road to learn them from the Gypsy Travellers I spent so many years collecting from.
