The list is not endless but of these few acknowledgements I am very proud:

I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the support of many different bodies and organisations that have helped platform my work and artistic journey. I’ve never got into music to try and win accolades that this industry ambitions towards. For me any musical journey should be judged by the musical integrity with which one creates. This is so utterly subjective I conclude that is is almost counter productive and near on impossible to hierarchalise art and especially so when one is working with old song. However these nods have helped me out and I am super grateful to the people behind them so here they are:

2010 Arts Foundation Award
2012 Mercury Music Prize
2012 fRoots Album of the Year
2012 BBC Folk Award nominations: best singer, best album, traditional song
2016 BBC Folk Award winner: best traditional song (Lovely Molly)
2016 Songlines Music Awards winner
2017 Folk Alliance International: Spirit of Folk Award
